Terms of Service

Last updated:

These Terms of Service concern access to The Print Field at https://nexorvia.xyz. Please read them alongside our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with these terms, please discontinue use of the site.

1. Educational and editorial purpose

The site publishes explanations and interpretations of printing processes, tools, artworks, and historical records. Content is general information. It does not replace a machine manual, supervised training, conservation assessment, current safety guidance, or professional advice appropriate to your circumstances.

A description of a historical ink, material, medical text, or workshop practice is not a recommendation to use it. Do not operate machinery or handle hazardous materials solely on the basis of an article.

2. Reading, linking, and quotation

You may read the site, share links to its pages, and make personal reference copies. Short attributed quotations may be used where permitted by applicable law. Include the publication name and a link to the relevant page, and do not present an extract in a way that misrepresents its meaning.

For republication of substantial portions, commercial distribution, or other use requiring permission, contact [email protected]. These terms do not remove rights or exceptions available under applicable law.

3. Third-party works and licences

Images, quoted material, collection descriptions, trademarks, and other third-party works retain their applicable ownership and licence terms. Check each image caption, our image-credit register, and the original record before reuse. Public-domain and open-licence material remains subject to its own status or terms; this website does not impose additional ownership claims over it.

We can only grant permissions for rights we hold. A reference to an artist, institution, product, or collection does not imply sponsorship, endorsement, or affiliation.

4. Responsible use

Do not attempt unauthorised access, bypass security controls, introduce malicious code, impersonate the publication, or disrupt access for other readers. Automated requests must not overburden the service or be used to evade access restrictions. Do not remove attributions or falsely present copied articles as your own.

5. Accuracy and changing records

Catalogues and historical attributions can be revised, and articles may contain errors or incomplete information. Sources support particular claims rather than certifying every interpretation. Consult the original records for consequential decisions and send proposed corrections with supporting evidence.

The archive does not claim first-hand verification of every object or independent authentication of every source attribution.

6. External websites

Links lead to services operated by other organisations. Their content, availability, terms, and privacy practices are outside our control. A link is provided for context rather than as a guarantee of accuracy or continuing availability.

7. Correspondence and contributed material

Sending an email does not automatically transfer copyright or give us a blanket licence to publish it. If material is proposed for publication, any necessary permission and credit arrangements should be agreed separately. Only send material you are entitled to share, and avoid including confidential information or another person's unnecessary personal details.

8. Availability and limits of responsibility

The site is provided as available. Uninterrupted access, permanent availability of every page, and error-free content are not guaranteed. To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not responsible for indirect losses caused by relying on general editorial material or by the unavailability of an external service.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, or limits mandatory consumer or other statutory rights.

9. Changes and questions

We may revise content, features, or these terms. The date above identifies the latest terms revision. Changes apply prospectively subject to applicable law. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.

Please raise questions or concerns about these terms at [email protected], identifying the page and issue involved. No particular court, arbitration arrangement, or governing jurisdiction is specified here in place of applicable law.
